Hang Art Projects; like Hang Art but different.

Operating outside the regular gallery programming, Hang Art Projects is simply another way for you to find the art you love in unique venues. Hang Art Projects expands on Hang Art's founding tenants by showcasing the artworks of talented artists in diverse career points. And, of course, the new program still holds true to the honesty, approachability, and transparency you find at Hang Art.

About Bryan Ida

In his efforts to make sense of the chaotic splendor of existence, Bryan Ida fixes his gaze on both the transitory contours of the city and the timeless wisdom of nature. Though closely observed, his paintings take on a universal quality-each stone he portrays is unique, for instance, but one could encounter it almost anywhere in the world. His paintings explore the duality of the urban and natural landscapes, and seek to strike a balance between the two.

Bryan's compositions are mesmerizing and meditative, emerging from a process of concentrated attention. He achieves a rich luminosity by adopting the painting techniques of Renaissance masters, building his glowing surfaces with forty or more glazed layers.

Before turning his talents to painting, Bryan Ida spent six years studying music composition in the California State University system and at Stanford, a background that continues to influence his work. Bryan has exhibited his artwork in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Pasadena, California.
